Since you girls have been loving the 10 Items 20 Outfits posts, I think I’ll make them a monthly thing. That way, they can evolve with the seasons, and help you build a wardrobe that you can really work!
Today’s post is themed for the early spring transition. Some of these outfits are too cold to wear right now but give it a few weeks and warmer temps and sunshine should be near! (I hope!) If anything, it keeps you from buying things you’ll only wear for a few weeks before the seasons change. These items can be worn well into the summer.
10 Items 20 Outfits for Early Spring

White Blazer
I’m planning to also write a spring staples post soon, but I’ll go ahead and tell you several of the things I included in the 10 items are some of my most worn staples for spring and summer. The white blazer is one of them. Blazers instantly polish any outfit and are a favorite of mine. You can wear them to work, but also can dress up a casual outfit for a nice date or church on Sunday morning. My exact blazer is the J.Crew Parke Blazer. It comes in petite and is such a great fit for Petites. If you watch the YouTube video, I note that this blazer is expensive, but often goes on sale – so keep an eye out for that! I’ll also try my best to share it in my Instagram stories if I catch it on sale. I’ll also keep an eye out for alternatives that are less expensive. I’m wearing it in petite 00.
Olive Utility Jacket
An olive utility jacket has been a staple and star of many capsule wardrobes for many years now. It’s classic and looks great in the spring and summer. My first utility jacket was from Old Navy and it was too large in the shoulders for me. So, I found myself not wearing it enough. This year I replaced it with this petite one from Banana Republic and now I want to wear it all the time! This is another jacket that is expensive full price, and in my opinion very overpriced at full price, so I recommend waiting for it be on sale, which just like the blazer is often. I’m wearing it in petite XXS.
Denim Jacket
I used to think the J.Crew sweater blazer was my most worn item on the blog, but I’m starting to think it’s this denim jacket. Going on two years in my closet, this beauty remains one of my favorite layers! Plus, it’s a great price from Old Navy. I’m wearing it petite XS.
Leopard Top
The star of the style session is a matching top and skirt from banana republic. On its own, this swing style top looks great with a pair of jeans and dresses up well for work! However, you can also tuck it into this matching skirt and it makes for the appearance of a dress. Not pictured, but you could also add other skirts to get more out of this top – maybe a black, tan, or white pencil skirt. I’m wearing the top in petite XS, but I would recommend going down on size.
Leopard Skirt
The leopard skirt on its own is also a great piece to have. Again, I love it with the matching top, but you can add a lot of different tops with it as well. Make it casual with a white or black tee, or dress it up with a white blouse for work! I’m wearing it in petite 00 and the fit is perfect.
White T-Shirt
Another spring staple is a white t-shirt. This one in particular is my absolute favorite. It’s $8.00 from Target and is nice and thick – not one bit see-through. I wear a cami under mine because I wear camis under all of my tops (out of habit) but it would work well with nude undergarments. I’m wearing it in XS.
Black T-Shirt
I also included a black t-shirt. I don’t wear black t-shirts as much as I wear white t-shirts, but it’s still a great staple to have on hand. This one is also from Target and is well made. I’m wearing it in XS.
White Dress
I’ve had some requests to find spring dresses and in particular little white dresses, so I’ve been looking! I came across this one at Abercrombie and while it’s not solid white, the print is subtle enough. I‘m wearing it in regular XS, Abercrombie tends to be too short for my style in petite.
Mom Jeans
I’m still a big fan of skinny jeans, but I am going to make it a point to include some of the trendier styles to give you girls some options. These mom jeans from Abercrombie showed up after I wrote my recent denim post and I need to go back and add them. They’re so good! They are rigid and non-stretchy and have the high rise you would expect from a mom jean. I’m wearing them in 25 x-short and they’re a great cropped length.
Demi Boot Jeans
Madewell calls these jeans demi boot, but you can also call them a cropped flare. I know from your feedback this style isn’t for everyone, but I think it’s cute and flattering with a pair of heels. I can also wear this style to work. They’re also not see-through which is a big bonus when it comes to white jeans. I’m wearing these in petite 24 and they’re a great mid-rise fit
Cropped Top
The last item ended up being a bonus. I feel like most of my 10 Items 20 Outfits posts so far have ended up with a bonus item. I get to mixing and matching, hit 20 outfits, and realized I basically left one out. Maybe next time I’ll just choose 9 items. I’m a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl, I’m not a meticulous planner, so it’s not always perfect, but that’s ok! That’s why some of my IGtv videos end up with repetitive movements – I don’t plan what I’m going to do, I just roll with it and hope it all pans out in editing. This is still a great top and worth a spot in the post. I’m wearing it in regular xs.

My Sizing: For reference and to help you shop online, I’m 4’10” around 105 lbs. My bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, 36″.
