I'm Michael Kitchens, the CEO of BTT, Inc., which is the developer of Circuit Hawaii, an FIA Grade motorsports facility based on Oahu, Hawaii. I'm an ardent motorsports enthusiast, a committed community advocate, and have been completely dedicated to building a track on Oahu, having campaigned in one way or another for over eighteen years.
Just over five years ago, we began the development of Circuit Hawaii and I've taken great strides to avoid asking for the public's support until I felt it was absolutely necessary and vital to our efforts. Now is that time however, and I'm reaching out to seek your support for Circuit Hawaii.
We are in a pivotal stage of negotiations for the establishment of this incredible project and my goal is to articulate to those in power the significant need and want for Circuit Hawaii to succeed. We are asking for positive comment not only from the motorsports community but also from the broader population locally as well as from around the world and therefore, we ask that you lend your support by signing and sharing our petition below.

We, the undersigned, represent a diverse coalition of individuals, from all around the world, who are fervently advocating for Circuit Hawaii, a much-needed, sustainable, multi-venue motorsports, entertainment and innovation hub to be built on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii.
Since the closure of Oahu's only racetrack in 2006, as concerned and passionate enthusiasts, we recognize the pressing need for a multi-venue motorsports facility that not only offers a world class circuit for both the local and global motorsports community but also offers a vast array of entertainment and educational options. Most importantly, Circuit Hawaii will return motorsports to the island of Oahu after a seventeen-year absence.
Hereby, we implore your consideration and support for the development of Circuit Hawaii, with the project being spearheaded by BTT, Inc., a private, disabled veteran-owned company.This vital project, in constant and dedicated development for nearly six years, stands poised to bring about transformative change and addresses the acute absence of a motorsports facility on Oahu, while serving as a catalyst for economic growth, job creation, education, entertainment and more for both local and international communities.
The Justification for Circuit Hawaii:
Economic Impact:The establishment of Circuit Hawaii is not merely the inception of a motorsports facility; it is the catalyst for the creation and reintroduction of a robust and expanded motorsports industry in Hawaii. This revitalized industry will bring unprecedented economic benefits, nurturing a thriving ecosystem that benefits local, national, and international businesses. By attracting investment, fostering entrepreneurship, encouraging manufacturing and offering new opportunities for business collaborations and sponsorships, Circuit Hawaii will serve as a dynamic economic engine that drives diversification and growth for Hawaii's economy.At the same time, Circuit Hawaii will bring substantial economic benefits to the local area, generating jobs - employment opportunities across various sectors, from construction to ongoing operations thereby creating new and bolstering existing local businesses. It will attract quality-driven tourism not quantity-driven, both national and international, which will also contribute significantly to our people's economic prosperity.
Global Entertainment Destination, Family Focus and Cultural Events: As a global destination, Circuit Hawaii will draw motorsports enthusiasts and people from around the world by hosting premier racing events and providing an exciting entertainment experience amidst the unique island experience that Oahu provides.Circuit Hawaii aims to provide an affordable, family-friendly motorsports and entertainment venue, fostering an environment where parents, children, and individuals of all ages can enjoy motorsports activities and events together. This inclusivity will strengthen family bonds, encourage shared experiences, and create lasting memories for generations to come. We will strongly support our Kamaʻāina and will strive to create a facility that you can be proud of while also welcoming people from around the globe to partake in our experiences.
In addition to motorsports, Circuit Hawaii will be a hub for cultural events, concerts, and festivals, attracting local, national and global artists and performers. These events will not only enhance the entertainment experience but also promote cultural exchange, positioning Circuit Hawaii as a vibrant global destination that appeals to a wide audience.
Educational Opportunities: Circuit Hawaii will serve as an educational hub, offering programs focused on motorsports, STEM education, and technological innovation. These initiatives will inspire and educate future generations, nurturing talent, fostering skills and creativity and encourage critical thinking, thereby empowering both children and adults to more positive and successful careers in multiple industries. We are committed to serving K-12, college and autotrade schools through our efforts.
Sustainability:With the beautiful backdrop of our island paradise in mind, Circuit Hawaii aims to set a new benchmark for sustainability in the motorsports industry. With a commitment to becoming net-negative, utilizing renewable energy sources, and implementing cutting-edge eco-friendly practices, this facility will exemplify responsible development while minimizing its ecological footprint. Circuit Hawaii will be built from the ground up with this goal as paramount.
Community Engagement and Infrastructure: Beyond motorsports, Circuit Hawaii will actively engage with the local community, supporting community programs, and providing recreational facilities for their use. This initiative will create inclusive spaces for community gatherings, promoting social cohesion and well-being. Circuit Hawaii will also honor the cultural heritage of Hawaii's Native Hawaiian population by actively supporting the Native Hawaiian language (ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi) throughout the facility, thereby fostering further recognition and preservation of Hawaii's indigenous culture.
Safety and Driver Training Programs: Circuit Hawaii will significantly enhance safety for motorists by providing a controlled and secure environment for racing enthusiasts. By offering an alternative to street racing, this facility will work to mitigate the dangers associated with illegal racing activities on public roads. Moreover, it will host driver training programs, instilling safe driving practices and nurturing responsible driving behavior among participants. In addition, Circuit Hawaii will provide spaces for commercial drivers license training and emergency responder training for the City and County of Honolulu and the State of Hawaii.
Motorsports Series & Competitive Sports: Circuit Hawaii will serve as a versatile venue capable of hosting a diverse range of motorsports series and competitive sports - local, national and international - most never ever experienced in Hawaii. These may include but are not limited to:
