The events of the past five years or so have nearly destroyed our democracy. Although I do not discuss politics or religion with clients individually, I did go on the record on social media even before Trump became president in my vehement opposition to Trump and Trumpism. I even declared back in 2016 that Trump and his cronies would try to overthrow the government. After that declaration came to fruition, the neo-Nazis who kept threatening to kill me disappeared and I was vindicated. I have fewer than 10 years before retirement, so I’m not worried about how it will affect my business. I put the welfare of the country before my business, first, last and always.

Living wages benefit everyone.

I patiently explained to him how I worked and did it with a smile. After about 15 minutes, though, it was clear that the bullying wasn’t going to stop. At that point, I gave him a lesson in agency, about how a personal services agreement is by mutual consent, and at that point, I was not going to give him my consent. He was under the mistaken impression that I had to work with him. After setting him straight on that, I escorted him out of the office and never saw him again.
