Life Lately

Last year around this time, I had one thing on my mind: BABY! This year, I have her big first birthday party on my mind. I’m excited, but also, there’s SO much to do! Trying to focus on enjoying this sweet season with her and her last moments as a baby before she’s technically a toddler. How is this even possible?

Along with prepping for her party, we’re also talking about finally making some of the upgrades in our backyard that we’ve been talking about since we built our house almost 2 years ago. A few of these things include some landscaping by our house and by the fence, maybe planting a few trees, and we would also love a firepit with pavers and some chairs. We also need to upgrade our outdoor patio furniture. Oklahoma winds have done a number on our sofa and chairs!

Most of all, though, I’m hoping to spend more time outside this month. I say that every year, and it’s tough for me because I’m terrified of bugs and we have so many wasps here (LOL….more on my bug fears later), but it’s worth the “risk”! But this year it’s a big goal. Walks in the neighborhood, going to the park, maybe even getting a trampoline to give the boys something to do in the backyard. I’m excited for this month!

That’s it for now – would love to chat with you guys over on Instagram and find out what you’re looking forward to in April!
